Kittens Game auto clicker guide
Use a short Gather catnip burst at the beginning, then hand production to Fields, Farmers, and the game’s resource systems.
Kittens Game has a genuinely repetitive opening target, but the need disappears quickly. A good setup reaches the first production systems and gets out of the way.
Automate only Gather catnip
A new Kittens Game save begins with Gather catnip as the obvious repeated action. Each press adds the resource needed to establish early production. The target is stable, but the surrounding interface soon fills with buildings, jobs, refining, and other decisions.
Use an auto clicker only for this narrow opening step. The objective is to reach Catnip Fields and the first production choices comfortably, not to create a macro for the rest of the game.
Use a finite desktop setup
Keep the browser at a fixed size, record the center of Gather catnip, and choose a finite count. Start at a moderate interval so the resource display remains readable and you can stop when the next useful action becomes available.
Do not move the browser, change zoom, or open another tab while the loop runs. Kittens Game updates controls as systems unlock, and a fixed coordinate has no understanding of what now sits beneath the pointer.
- Export or back up a valued save before experimenting with automation.
- Watch the first burst instead of leaving the browser unattended.
- Stop as soon as you have enough catnip for the next deliberate purchase.
- Keep refining, building, and job assignment manual.
Let Fields and Farmers take over
Catnip Fields introduce passive production almost immediately, and Farmers later expand that production through the village system. These are the intended handoff points from repeated gathering to resource management.
Once passive catnip covers normal costs, continued automatic gathering adds less value than choosing how many fields to build, when to add housing, and how to assign kittens. Turn off the clicker and let the game’s economy become the focus.
Respect caps and changing states
Kittens Game uses storage limits, seasonal changes, and interconnected resources. A clicker cannot see that catnip is capped, that a purchase changed production, or that the next button represents a different action. More input is not automatically more progress.
Pause before refining catnip, changing tabs, assigning jobs, or buying buildings. Those actions affect the system around the resource and deserve a real decision rather than a recorded coordinate.
Match the platform
The game is available on the web and through mobile and desktop editions, but a setup does not transfer unchanged between them. Desktop fixed-position clicking, Android Accessibility tapping, and iOS built-in accessibility controls use different permission and safety models.
Use the smallest platform-appropriate aid that solves the opening repetition. If the current edition offers a comfortable built-in hold or accessibility behavior, prefer that over granting a separate app broad control of the screen.
